Well folks after a somewhat exasperating gig on the poor old Oriana which was besieged with sickly folk over Xmas and New Year, John and I are back and at it in Cumbria.
The exciting preparation for our THEATRE BY THE LAKE CONCERT with the combined Keswick and Whitehaven Choirs will take place on April 26th 2013. Rehearsals took place yesterday in Whitehaven despite heavy snowfall and I was touched by the Commitment of Committed2Rock! Jacqui Knowles, the choir secretary and I have held extensive discussions over copious cups of tea and latte’s at the Westminster Cafe and have come up with a vibrant and energetic programme designed to please a wide audience. you can get your tickets via the Theatre by the Lake website and they are selling fast which is fantastic as proceeds go to Children who are caters and local projects for children to encourage confidence through speech, drama and music…very worthy causes if I may say so. Just getting ready for a fun weekend! We have two gigs at the Westminster Cafe Bar in Whitehaven; the end of term panto at Stagecoach Cockermouth where I teach every Saturday; and on Sunday, my two Committed2Rock Choirs are performing at the Keswick Victorian Market in the heart of the beautiful Lake District! Feet touching the ground? Don’t think so!! Ha Ha!
See you soon love Cath x
